I pretty sure the PCI Simple COmmunications Controller is the Conexant 56K V.9x DFVc/D850 56K V.9X PCI DF ULD Modem. I'd tend to doubt that because we have over 100 745/755/760's that I have imaged/reimaged over the years and not one modem in the lot. RE: PCI Simple Communications Controller Driver missing?? When using Supermicro motherboards, it is possible that the PCI Simple Communications Controller can be displayed as an unknown device in the Windows Device Manager. This can even occur after a successful driver installation.
